The seminar is excellent and very worth the money...I would never think about or notice many of these strategies he mentioned if I did not attend this lecture. His lecture covers a wide range of topic, not only IV questions. after the lecture, I feel much confident about my IV.

One of my seniors (who matched that year), was the one who told me about Dr. Brian. By the time all this happened, it was already September! So, I decided to join the session. To be honest, I did not have time to search for other options then. Looking back, it was one of the best decisions I ever made! 🙂

At the end of the day, Dr. B puts in way too much effort and hours than what we pay for at the beginning of the course.

should i mention my dads name as the supervisor

its covering my one year gap of actual usmle studies
because all the other things on my cv mention a supervisor
except that thing
so it'd be fishy if i dont mention someone elses name lol

Tahmina Mahmud

Full Name: Tahmina Chowdhury

Your Session Start Month: November, 2018.

Do you wish started earlier or later…and if so, what month? Yes, September.

Specialty: Pediatrics and internal Med.

Course Taken (360+, IV Prep, 1on1): 1 on 1

1)How many Matches have you been through including this current one? 1

2) Is this your First Match Season with Mission Residency/Dr Brian? Yes

3) Was it worth the investment? Why or why not?In my case it was worth it. Cause I was practicing for interviews before I joined Dr.B’s sessions. I was a very nervous interviewer. After taking his classes,I felt like I was more calm in the interview setting.

4) If you had ONE MINUTE to explain to someone considering this course why he/she should OR should not take IV Prep, what would you say? What should they expect? I took my decision to take his class after seeing his one free session. The minute I saw it, I knew this person can help me with my nervousness about interviews. And it was so true for me. The confidence I got about myself, was really needed and Dr.B has a big role in that. Thank you so much again Dr.B.

5) On a scale of 1-10, how much of the available resources (Live Practice/Mock IV/Pre-IVChecks/Rx Replays) did you actually participate in? (1=none at all, 10= Attended/Participate 100%)
I took his 10n1 course. And yes he gave me time before my every single interview. So I would say 100%.

6) On a scale of 1-10, Would you recommend this course to future docs applying for Residency? (1= No, I Definitely would not recommend it, 10= Yes, I would Definitely recommend it): If anyone there just like me, very nervous and no confidence on getting matched though having a medium profile, but don’t wanna waste one year by not matching also, I would definitely recommend it. So 10.

7) Optional: My Stats (fill in whatever you are comfortable sharing), helpful for Docs that will apply with Red Flags:
~ Step 1 Score: 230
~ Step 2CK Score: 222
~ Step 2 CS Total Attempts to Pass: 1st
~ Step 3: not done
~ Months of Teaching Hospital USCE: 2 months only as volunteer.
~ Year of Grad: 2013
~ Published Research: 0
~ Attempts: 0

~ How many Interviews did you have in total? 7

Apurva Jain

A Quick Review of Mission Residency/IV Prep w/DrBrian, by Recently Matched Alumni:
Full Name: Apurva Jain
Your Session Start Month: October 2015
Do you wish started earlier or later…and if so, what month?:I wish I had started in the summer session, by June.
Specialty: Peds/ child neurology
Course Taken (360+, IV Prep, 1on1): IV PREP
1) How many Matches have you been through including this current one?
Ans: 2
2) Is this your First Match Season with Mission Residency/Dr Brian?
Ans: No, I joined mission residency during my first match season.
3) If you had ONE MINUTE to explain to someone considering this course why he/she should OR should not take IV Prep, what would you say? What should they expect?
Ans: I feel anyone's main concern would be the cost. But if you can afford it, one must go ahead and take the course. Does it guarantee a match? No, I didn't match last year despite taking the course. Does mission residency have anything to do with me not matching? No. I didn't have a strong CV Or a great number of interviews. But what it does guarantee is that you'll not enter an interview blind, you will come out of the course a more confident person with better interpersonal skills and a nice set of friends and an awesome mentor who will do his best to help you in any way he can.
4) On a scale of 1-10, how much of the available resources (Live Practice/Mock IV/Pre-IVChecks/Rx Replays) did you actually participate in? (1=none at all, 10= Attended/Participate 100%)
Ans: 6
5) Was it worth the investment? Why or why not?
Ans: Yes, without a doubt it was worth my investment. I needed the guidance and support that I received here. Dr. B invested in me too. He made sure I didn’t give up. He pushed me even though he didn't have to because technically I had invested my money only for the 2015 course. But he took it beyond that. He helped me free of cost the second time.
6) On a scale of 1-10, Would you recommend this course to future docs applying for Residency? (1= No, I Definitely would not recommend it, 10= Yes, I would Definitely recommend it)
Ans: 10

I may not have had the strongest scores, but I will be starting my FM residency at Sunrise Hospital, Las Vegas this summer.
All I can say is that I wouldn't be confident enough for my interviews if I didn't take the mission residency course. Interviews matters and the way you answer questions and present yourself.
And the greatest thing about Dr. B is that he doesn't make you memorize answers at all, but bring out the best version of yourself. He invests enough time to know the real you and make you think out of the box to be confident and be honest.
He would compromise his own family time so he can give you enough attention and time. You will see him in class till 2-3 am and even afterward sometimes. He stands with you to be there for you until you MATCH. I didn't match last year and he didn't let me give up on myself but instead motivated me each day that I can do it. And with his and his wife Kate's support, I did it.
The things he teaches you, you get to carry and use it in everyday life and not just for interviews. Be ready to give your best, and make use of every class. Come prepared and you will get to learn even more.
Yes, even I felt the course was expensive but it's worth every dollar. It's not just the basic 5 days that matters, its all the practice sessions, mock IVs and getting feedback from your peers, bottom line every session is important. I will definitely recommend mission residency. It gives you the opportunity to meet people who are in the same boat as you, build a new family who got your back through every situation. If you have any questions- please feel free to message me anytime. More than happy to answer any questions. Thank you, Dr. B Brian Mark, for all your support and teachings. Grateful.

*Which mindset are you? Growth vs Fixed Mindsets*
This video clip is a must watch for anyone that genuinely wants to get better at . . . EVERYTHING!

Our alumni docs that Matched this past season may not have come to us with the strongest CV's, but they had one quality that I would take over a 250+ Step score ANY DAY OF THE WEEK: Growth Mindsets.

This past season we saw doctors go from shaking/nervous/flustered in their first mock interviews in Spring/Summer to pulling off some off some of the coolest, brilliant, creative, and unique answers/skills we've ever seen during their Fall/Winter Interviews.

Growth Mindset? Yeah, your 1st Choice Residency Program is waiting for you 😉

Hey everyone, I am Dr. B alumni like many people out here and I want to share how I really feel about his classes and what I gained after 5 days of so called IV prep.

By now, many of you mightbe knowing what I would be about to write down here. Yes, Exactly! It should make sense as I have created an anonymous fb profile.

First of all, all he teaches in his 5 days course is just sweet talk. He aims few people in every session who are ready to work for him for free. The so called leaders are then joined to an ALL STAR group. BTW what he teaches in 5 day course material is available to me so as his few tutorials which I downloaded to my laptop. I'll post most probably is USMLE open forums as I think I'll probably get booted up once I post this email.
Yes coming to the point, 5 day course is such a pain in your ass that you have to convince him and satisfy his ego and follow his set of rules. Eg:

I LOVE your program for a lot of reasons! He is so particular in using LOVE instead of LIKE. He must have wasted 5% of his time in telling this for our session. DO you guys think that Porgram directors are fools?? How can you tell that you LOVE the program when you know nothing about it apart from reading on its website.

By the way, after this there are so called yes or no clicks. You have to click whenever he asks you anything. He is so good at sweet talk that he is able to run this business.

BTW I dont really think he is a doctor. He never told us where he did his residency nor his med school. He is a big time loser. There are rumours that he is involved in such a scam before time and changed his last name. His last name is not MARK. ITS BRIAN *******. PLease Please dont join and get fooled.!! I gain nothing by writing this. I was fooled. I'll help you guys once I know about my match this year. We have to stop this guys tricks!!
Stay Tuned! As I said I'll post about his tricks and surveys and all shit dramas and his bias towards cute girls. and more importantly I'll post his 5 day session files and few videos of his classes. Nothing is copyright, Nothing he teahces is so. I am just trying to post the copied material. ANd dont believe on fb testimonials. ask your friends from heart if they gained anything from joining this guy's IV prep. They'll tell you!!! His match rate too is not any near close to 90%. There are so many people in pheonix group who didnt match last year. But he throttles their throat not to speak or by not giving them a fair platform to talk about!! Adios.

Stay tuned on USMLE forums.
