An applicant pointed out that IMG's were 'Dared to Compare' Match Training Programs by Usmle Sarthi on their website. When we tried, we discovered it's not the easiest task...even with our OWN Mission:Residency site. We built a comparison chart from our research, trying to be as accurate as possible.

We want to get this right and fair for programs included . . . so we're respectfully requesting for leadership @USMLESarthi & any of the other programs on the chart to please let us know IN COMMENTS BELOW if any CORRECTIONS need to be made for your respective training options (we'll reach out to you via email, as well, in case this isn't seen).

Still waiting on USMLESarthi to accept friend request so the tag works...can anyone that's friends with them please add them to this page in the meantime? Thanks ๐Ÿ™‚

Shivani Berry- The tag for USMLE Sarthi won't work if he doesn't accept the invite to join/post in this group. He's also ignoring my friend request.

That’s an excellent chart Dr. Brian. Loved it! For those who don’t know me, I’m one of Mission Residency alumni (2017). I want to mention that all details that are mentioned in this chart are VERY ACCURATE, facts and reflects what goes on behind the scene. I got to know who he is in the same way that he came to know me and he is such a jovial, kind hearted, supportive and motivating person and I'm very glad to have met him. He was ALWAYS available when I needed him literally anytime the day through mobile/FB/email. I'm sure I've spent countless hours getting his advice on how to fine tune my interview skills and have a game plan and HONEST to God those tips have been really useful for entire life!! I used it even for my fellowship interviews and got very positive comments. I've to strongly point out that it's a plus to know other members of the batch because they are one of your additional supports who also knows what you're going through and give valuable feedback! I was able to get in touch with the residents of my speciality who were Mission Residency alumni and they provided additional feedback for my interviews. Moreover I loved Dr. Brian's capability in editing my PS (based on my own story, just to be clear to some people who thinks he tries to impose his ideas!) n polishing my CV !!! My current associate PD appreciates that even today! This is my unbiased review of Mission Residency and I'm open to be contacted anytime thought FB if anyone has any doubts/questions about him or the program. I reiterate that Mission Residency a legit program and worth every penny! โœŒ๐Ÿผ

I first started with a 1-1 session with Dr B while I was on my toilet seat. The 1-1 session was more like a diagnostic test. Dr B spent time to know me as a person, my background, family, success and your failures. We spent hours and days during what we call foundation classes. Each class was a minimum of 8-10 hours long. We learnt how to communicate effectively and to be ourselves. I was part of a class of about 5-6 other IMGS who eventually became my brothers and sisters. We practice for the entire year. I mean 365 days. After the 5 day foundation clases we started doing more cool stuff that no one would dare try during interview. Everything on the chart is spot on! This page is not big enough to describe all my experiences with Mission Residency. Let me know if you have any questions.

I wish I had this chart while I was still deciding which services to choose from. As an IMG, I was lost between so many suggestions and options told by seniors, fellow students on Facebook pages and forums. Honestly, I was hesitant to even try any of this, until I actually met Dr. Brian Mark. He did not ask what scores I had or what my CV looks like. His first question was which specialty are you interested in? The way he invests in us, try to get to know our personalities, our stories, where we come from and literally staying awake until 3-4 am in the morning helping us out is remarkable. From giving suggestions about personal statements, the day we submit our application, the day we get the first invite, first pre IV dinner and interview to the very last day of the season including the anxious night before the Match Monday and panic hour before the result is out HE IS THERE! To be completely honest, the number of hours written in the chart is way less than the actual number. Apart from the designated class schedule, there are countless other sessions including group practices to help us. For him, it is not only limited to get us matched, but he teaches us how to be a better student and resident for our patients. From being complete strangers, we ended up being a family! For anyone who is getting confused out there, I was one of you guys, unable to decide what to do next, I am more than happy to answer questions and help you any way possible.

Doctor B is really strong mentor. He has helped me and my brother doing every step of our residency course. He has spent countless hours trying to brainstorm ideas with us for our personal statement. Because of him we met some of the most awesome people with whom we had the pleasure of working alongside in getting to our dream job. Dr Brian's classes have been an amazing resource when it comes to preparing for interviews. I myself was not very confident speaker in front of an audience however after spending hundreds of hours in his class I was able to be myself during my interviews. And and this relationship lasts a life-time. Just recently he helped me match into oncology fellowship and I could not thank him enough for this. It has been an incredible journey and it wouldn't have been possible without Doctor Brian Mark. Me and my brother Vik are very thankful for the life he gave us. Joining doctor Brian's classes was possibly the best decision that we could ever make.

I can vouch for the effectiveness of Dr B's classes. Being a quiet person, I always felt my introversion held me back from reaching my potential. However, enrolling in Mission residency has taught me how to be an effective communicator while staying true to myself. Dr B is somebody who works tirelessly for his students, often disregarding his health and when he has had very conflicting schedules. These classes are not just a way to get through your residency interviews. These are valuable life lessons that will take you much further in your career. I basically had to restructure the way I thought, met my goals and dealt with problems. This was thanks to Mission residency. As for the chart, I feel this makes choosing an interview prep much easier.

Loved the new chart Dr. B. I just want to say the 1-1 live session was so helpful. Dissecting the interview every step and coming up with new content ideas that I used throughout the season was awesome. It just looks like a row with all the other features in the program but I cant stress how awesome this was. Other than the 1 on 1, I think we spent countless hours just practicing with mocks and fixing even the smallest issues. I honestly dont think I could have matched without you Dr. B. THANK YOU!!!

I came to know of Dr Brian's training through a friend. I paid for a lesser course which did not involve one on ones or PS editing. Yet Dr B took extra time and reviewed my PS in a separate session with me when I asked him to, conducted personal one on one mock interview with me, even though it was not part of my package! He really involves with his students, treats all students with equal share of delight, taps our strengths, spends sleepless nights and in the end brings out our confidence. He spends most of his time with his students(literally 18 hours a day) - I've sat in classes for four or five hours, only to discuss stories and random everyday events. I learned how to tell a story better, that catches the eye of the interviewer. I mean aside from the items listed in the chart above, he even has open class sessions or extra sessions! I've enjoyed every aspect of this communication course, the Rx replays, the mock interviews, helping other batchmates, bringing new ideas to my plate. I highly recommend Dr B for excelling in your interviews. Good luck! And yes the offers listed in the chart above is every bit true.

I matched and, it still feels like a dream. Going one cycle without matching and completely unsure about my next step, I trusted Mission Residency for the rest of my journey. Honestly, it turned out to be the best decision. I honestly can't express in words how thankful I am to Dr. Brian Mark for his constant support and guidance. From improving my communication skills, helping me regain my confidence to most importantly, making me believe that failures make you badass. Thank you, Dr. B, for believing in me when I didn't, having my back when I was freaking out (which was very often), helping me to make the right decisions and helping me to grow day by day to be a better version of myself. Looking back, I started my journey with mentorship and classmates, and now I am blessed with an amazing Mission family. ... See MoreSee Less

Hi! I wanted to jot down a quick thanks to Dr Brian and the Mission Residency family for the amazing guidance and the nudges I have received towards the right path which has finally led me to receive that precious email that us IMGs dream of, the one from NRMP saying that we matched. Despite having multiple red flags (lower CK score, a significant gap and an older YOG), I have been accepted into a program today and this is in thanks to Mission residency. Aside from the interview prep and practices, it has been a wonderful network to understand how to gain credible USCE and a group of extremely supportive friends. it has been an inspiring journey and I am truly grateful to Dr B and some of the most closest friends that I have gained through this network. ... All praises to the Almighty, I matched a Internal Medicine residency program.
Before the interview season started I was looking to get some help from someone who is experienced in this field, so for this asked some of my friends and they suggested me to do โ€œMission Residencyโ€. Initially I thought it was bit expensive but when I started classes with Dr. Brian Mark, I was totally impressed. Yes, it was little expensive but it was worthy. Dr. B is an amazing person, he helped me to prepare for each and every interviews. His guidance, valuable tips and suggestions help me to improve my interview skills. Iโ€™m very thankful to him.
Thank you Dr. Brian Mark and Mission Residency family.

If you ask me why I have joined mission residency---simple answer for guidance. It was a decision which I did not make in haste, I took time almost 1 yr to decide whether to take it or not. I attended his demos in 2018 and also spoke to one his previous student who matched. She suggested me that he will guide me, advise me but itโ€™s up to me how much I use the info he gives and much I practice that will help me in match. After I joined I realize how much important is delivery of the content in the interview. We have stories but we donโ€™t know how to deliver and how to represent in the best way possible in the interview. I would love to tell that in any other training program, nobody asks your personal stories and nobody digs your past to help you in deciding your content for the interview. HE DOES THAT. He will sit and listen to your personal stories and help you in telling them in a way that is presentable. Trust me we IMG need this. We IMG doctors never go for interviews in our country. Our CV does the talking there, here itโ€™s not like that. Dr.Brian sacrifices his personal time to help us reach our goal. He himself will interview us in groups so that we know our flaws. We practice as groups as well to help each other come up with better answers. There are no answers to be mugged up but you are urged to bring up new content in every practice session so you have many stories to tell on the day of your IV to different people. Hope this helps someone in arriving to a decision to join the session ... See MoreSee Less

Yay yay i matched!!! Dr.Brian Mark is a great mentor. He devoted many hundred hours to make sure that you are doing great in mock interviews. When i heard about his course. I read reviews and all. Honestly asked so many people. People have mixed reviews. Then i thought of taking his first class and then i was really impressed the way he put so much efforts in interview skills. I started preparing in June. By the time i started interviewing i was so comfortable. He prepares you from pre-iv dinner till the last day of match. His wife Kate Vanessa i am so grateful to her. She helped us in ivs clothes, shoes, hairstyle and even make up. This part is also very important. She is also very very nice helpful person. This course help me to get more confidence during my ivs season and ofcourse in life also. He taught so many techniques which is unique and will be helpful in whole life. Dr. Brian takes the pain of their students. He always go extra miles to prepare a student. Even someone have less ivs. He make sure that they will crack it in one ivs. Honestly i was skeptical before joining and spending money but it is worth more than the money. I highly recommend his course and wish him and his wife good luck and lots of happiness. I am happy to be a part of mission residency. I met so many wonderful friends through Dr.B . Thanks again and good luck to everyone. ... See MoreSee Less

I have matched to an Internal Medicine program today!

After I did not match in my first cycle, I sought help from Mission Residency and that is the moment I have changed my course towards this journey. Apart from great help in the development of interview preparation skills, it has been a great networking opportunity. I did not match into my second cycle as well but gained friends who helped me all the way to my success in the third cycle this year.

I intend to share my full story some day so that the members of Mission Residency can take advantage by learning my journey.

Finally, I want to thank Dr. Brian whole heartedly for what he is doing to groom future residents. Thank you! Without your help, I would not be in this place today!
