Relaunching Private Match For IMGs Facebook Group. For IMG’s unable to get into Match training, I’ve done my best to share advice and answer your questions on various Facebook groups when I have tome. Unfortunately, the helpful
posts are either A) hard to find because of endless Spam or B) Deleted by groups actually run by businesses like USMLESarthi.
I live-streamed a really helpful answer regarding how low/high CK scores REALLT affect applications & it got deleted.
It can’t be deleted if I run the page, so here’s where you can find the only forum I’ll be sharing advice starting this week:

A residency match is a long journey, and I want to make sure I am well-prepared for the most important stage, which is the interview.
***~ How would you describe the training to someone that is considering Mission:Residency?***
The Mission: Residency training literally blew my mind. Dr. Brain's knowledge of the entire interview process is unparallel. I never could've had the opportunity to match to my 1st choice if it wasn't for Dr. Brain's help. The interview season was super stressful, and Dr. Brain was always there for us.
I also built very deep and meaningful friendships with my classmates, and the camaraderie among us really help me during my down times. We spent so much energy and money preparing for the USMLE, US clinical experiences and etc. I seriously think Dr. Brain's course was the best investment throughout my entire match journey.
***How would you describe Dr Brian's Teaching Style?***
Caring, fun, and patient. Always go out of his way to make sure his students can reach their potential.
***Mission Residency is a significant investment. How much of a role did tuition play in considering the course AND, looking back, was it worth it?***
The tuition was the major factor that I didn't sign up for Mission: Residency immediately. I was lucky that a good friend of mine, who was a Mission alumni, kept pushing me to take the course. In retrospect, the knowledge I acquired was worth way more than the tuition.
***~ Did you train with anyone else PRIOR to your year with Mission Residency? If so, how would you compare your two experiences?***
I did purchase mock interview lessons from other providers. Although the price was considerably lower, I was not getting the training to be the best version of myself. Value is the most important thing, and Dr. Brian's class has the best value for the money.
***~ Would you recommend Mission:Residency Training to others in the future?***
Definitely

Rannndyyyyyy! I'm so so so thankful for you, Dr Lin. Not just for this kind post, but also for the infectious positivity, fun and work ethic you showed this past season! I genuinely looked forward to seeing what you'd do each class/Mock IV Session. Even though you'll be busy in residency this season, I'll be saying your name quite a bit, as the term 'Randy-ing' your background joins 'Abdi-ing' as official Mission Residency strategy terminology! Please keep us updated on your progress throughout residency!

~ How would you describe the training to someone that is considering Mission:Residency?
It is difficult to say in words it's an experience. We work as a team, we practice every day. Dr.Brian trains us in interview strategies and sees that we master them. He makes sure everything about the interview is thoroughly researched by the individual, by the team, and discussed. With many rounds of mock interviews, I was confident and ready for any question. Also, Dr.B was spot on in profiling the interviewer and that helped me during the interview.
How would you describe Dr Brian's Teaching Style?
It's fun, and interactive, and wouldn't know how our time went by. I miss his classes.
Mission Residency is a significant investment. How much of a role did tuition play in considering the course AND, looking back, was it worth it?
Hands down it's the best investment I made.
~ Did you train with anyone else PRIOR to your year with Mission Residency? If so, how would you compare your two experiences?
I trained in Saarthi too, it's ok but I never got the confidence or the skills to answer any question thrown at me. I could deliver my content better after training with Dr.B . It's more personalized with Dr. B.

**~ What convinced you to train with Mission Residency?**
I highly recommend Mission Residency for anyone serious about securing a residency spot. My brother, Dr. Arukala, trained with Dr. B and was matched on his second attempt. The only major difference was that he took IV prep coaching from Mission Residency the year he matched.
**~ How would you describe the training to someone that is considering Mission:Residency?**
From the moment you log into a class session with Mission Residency, you hear a warm 'Buenos Dias' and an assurance of a good day and a great life. Dr. Brian is a beacon of hope, a guru, and a master of the craft. I highly recommend Mission Residency to anyone searching for an IV prep course for many reasons. It is an intensive and inculcating experience that helps you ace your interviews and succeed in life.
As an old grad, I wondered if I would ever get a residency. However, joining Dr. B's sessions helped me tailor my IV prep according to the programs where I interviewed. He is not just a teacher but a brother who will be with you in every step of your preparation. His dedication to students is immense, and you will feel like family from the second you join his class. He will go to any extent to help you figure out how to make the best of yourself.
I had a last-minute IV invitation just 12 hours before the interview. Dr. B dropped everything, including teaching his daughter snowboarding, and joined me on a Webex call for almost 4-5 hours to help me prepare. That level of dedication and commitment to students is rare and exceptional.
One of the best parts of the Mission Residency experience is the significant relationships you build with your classmates. They will help you with mock interviews and provide feedback to help you improve. Thanks to Dr. B and Mission Residency, I was able to excel in my interviews and secure a residency. I highly recommend Mission Residency to anyone looking to improve their IV prep skills and achieve their dreams.
**How would you describe Dr Brian's Teaching Style?**
I cannot speak highly enough of the foundation course offered by Mission Residency. One of the most remarkable things about this course is that it helps you answer IV questions based on your personality. Dr. B takes the time to get to know your ideas and personality, and then he helps you put forward answers that are truthful to you. The preparation you get in mission residency is not cookie-cutter like the rest of the other IV prep courses and is tailored to your unique strengths and experiences. Dr. B's dedication to his students is unparalleled, and he truly becomes a mentor and guide for all those who train with him.
What sets Mission Residency apart from other IV prep courses is the emphasis on building a strong foundation for your interview skills. Dr. B teaches you how to present yourself genuinely and authentically while also helping you navigate tricky questions with ease.
**Mission Residency is a significant investment. How much of a role did tuition play in considering the course AND, looking back, was it worth it?**
I want to emphasize that Mission Residency is definitely worth it. While it may seem expensive, don't let the cost deter you; it is definitely worth it. Trust me, you pay far less than what you learn here. The knowledge and skills you gain are invaluable and will help you in your interviews and career as a physician.
I can confidently say that joining Mission Residency was one of the best decisions I've made for my career. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to improve their IV prep skills and achieve their dreams of securing a residency.
**~ Did you train with anyone else PRIOR to your year with Mission Residency? If so, how would you compare your two experiences?**
I did not train with any other IV prep course. This is my first match application.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience, Yamini Arukala! I absolutely loved getting to know you and working with you this past season! You and your classmates in Session D were AWESOME! As a 2008 grad, you're an inspiration to everyone that is worried that being an 'old grad...and proof that old grads DO MATCH!

I got an email from someone that had 20 interviews last season and DID NOT Match (defintely not my student). He said the 360Elite schedule is too much work, too early and too often. The NRMP Program Director Survey says otherwise.
ACCORDING TO EVERY NRMP Program Director Survey over the past decade: Did you know that USMLE Scores aren't even in the TOP 5 Factors that determne the Rankings that determine The MATCH? The Strength of your CV/scores determines the quantity & quality of residency interviews you'll recieve. Your communication + interview skills & ability to connect with people make up the TOP 5 FACTORS that determine Rank listing.
The schedule exceeds what is required to win residency via the interview process. I will not lower my expectation for my students to exceed their own expectations. (For my 360 docs, don't worry, I told that student mentioned avove that we were absolutely not the right Match Training program for him, so he won't be one of your classmates). ... See MoreSee Less
